I have designed a template for dolphin7 beta6 version. i want to add a div for header and footer to place a background image. I have placed some div's with classes by copying the header and footer files into the skin folder from the base folder. But when i refresh its not modified.
Please help me.
how to add or remove certain div's or classes from the header and footer files without disturbing the base folder contents

Check whether the html is there in the browser. If not clear the cache.

Suppose if i want to place the logo on the banner of i want to add some div's near the logo, how could i do that in the header file, without affecting the base folder file.
I have tried by copying the header file into the skin file and modified, but no changes modified. Kindly help me in fixing these problem.
If you aware of any sample site regarding my issue, if could please refer the site.

I think you need to change the logo?

If you can just replace it in admin or change the image itself.

Thats not for logo, suppose if i want to place the banner above the logo, then how should i change the header of the skin uni, and not the header files in the base folder.
kindly suggest some idea.

You need to write custom scripts files in PHP in the templates/tmpl_uni/scripts folder. Also, you need to write template html files. Then in your code you need to use the html files written by you.

Also, the tmpl_uni is not a 100% complete standalone template.
