All my pages have been set at a width of 893 px. The values for "PageWidth" in PageCompose are set at 893 for all screens. Yet, for some reason, all pages have now suddenly started to display on the screen across a much wider space. Is this a browser problem? I am using firefox.

It doesn't seem to be a browser problem. I think there is some errors. You can do the following.

1) Make sure the database has the same 893px values.
2) Take a backup of inc/db_cached/PageView.inc
3) delete all the contents of file PageView.inc
4) Make sure the file PageView.inc has 666 permission.
5) Try opening some pages on your website (profile page, home page etc.).

This should fix the problem. If this brings some errors, post the errors here.

It seems your database has wrong values for the width.

Things weren't working last night. But this morning, all pages displayed according to the specified size parameters. Go figure! Does something get reset at midnight???

The instructions I have written would have fixed it. Because of cache you might not able to see it at once.
