sides banner overlapped main section

Postby xmccay » Mon Nov 02, 2009 6:11 am

Hi,

May I know how can I make the banners I put on the left and right sides not to overlap the content section of my web site. Currently the banners I have inserted from the admin panel overlap and cover the content of the website.

Please advise how can we disable the overlap and make sure the side banners layer will not overlap the content section. Thanks,.

The easiest way to do this is by admin panel.

You need to change the left value. You have to make very less for left side banner and high for right side banner.

Hi,

Did you mean the HShift VShift

It is already 0 by default so I can't change the value to lesser since negative is not supported .

Please advise. Thanks,

Hi Praveen,

I did try to put -1 into the textfields but it will automatically change back 0

Please advise how I can insert negative value into the shifts textfield. Thanks.

In the admin panel -> banners you can store(it allows) negative values. Use negative for HShifts.

Dear Praveen,

I think you got me wrong. Actually I am not trying to move the position of the banner. the problem I am having now is the banner actually overlap/displayed on top of my content section and these banner actually covered my web site if the users are using smaller screen. It works fine with wider screen but not some smaller screen.

How can I adjust the zindex or something so the banner will always stay behind the main section/content section no matter what size the monitor resolution is?

Please advise. Thanks

In this case, I would recommend you to add banners manually inside a div and change the z-index of it.
