I am looking for detailed instructions on how to download and then upload dolphin 7 to the server. I will need to install skins too. But one step at a time. Your detailed instructions Praveen have proven priceless. So I am thanking you in advance sir.

Hi,

You need to extract all the files after download from the web.

Then you need to upload all the files to server through FTP. (inside httpdocs if you are using plesk. inside public_html if you are using cpanel).

then you need to open the site through browser.

This will launch the install screen. Here you can proceed with all the instructions there.

You have to change the permissions of files. For this you can use your FTP. There will be an option to change permission or CHMOD. You can use this to change the permission.

You also have to create mysql database and user. This user should have full access to the database. Then you need provide the database details.

Then proceeding further with screen instructions will finish the install.

After that you need to delete the "install" folder.

I cannot install modules for my Dolphin 7 site. I entered the admin panel and choosed the moduls that I want to install. I did install them successfully but for some reason the teks looks different in my site. I it looks like _top_chat_members text with the small dashes. How to fix it . Could you pleas help me with that.

Goto your admin panel -> settings -> language settings

and compile your current language.
