How to give Pages Permalinks, without adopting the Parent Pa

Postby joselin » Thu Aug 05, 2010 1:09 am

Hey

I'm trying to set up the site with page navigation, so I have some parent pages, and some more pages below them.

But i'd like to give the pages below permalinks without the parent in it.

Like, now it looks like this:

myblog.org/parent/page55

I'd like it to be

myblog.org/page55

while Parent is still a Parent Page to Page55.

I hope it's become clear what i meant, and thanks :)

If the only reason to make them children is so that they don't show up on the navigation, why not just exclude them from your page list: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tag ... Pages_from
